First Day – Spring Semester 2010
On a cold wintery day, new and returning students arrive to a new 90,000 sq/ft state-of-the-art Health, Fitness and Athletics Complex and continuing construction of the Family and Consumer Studies Building & Bookstore and Media Arts Center. For some students the challenge was to find an available class in which he/she could enroll. But for others, long lines to buy text books didn’t seem to faze anyone as students waited patiently while reconnecting with friends. See first day photos

Focus on Careers Day
On Friday November 6, the Tech Prep sponsored “Focus on Careers Day” where LAMC students, high school students and community members gathered to learn about various programs and career planning. Participants expanded their network by meeting with representatives from academic, vocational, and technical programs. They learned about the different industries by receiving career advice from LAMC faculty who are professionals in their fields of study.
